Rained out

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Well, today was a bust as far as getting anything done outside. It's been raining cats and dogs as my grandpop used to say. I did manage to get some things done on the computer that I've been putting off such as organizing photos. My wide frame axle showed up and was complete and exactly as described in the seller's auction. Now I can stop feeling guilty about robbing the front axle from a running 149 to fix my 1450. If you're mowing with a cub cadet, guys and girls, learn from my mistake. Don't let those idler pulleys cut a notch in that front axle.

And, speaking of mistakes, there are two ways to remove the starter from a K301 Kohler engine:
1) Remove the bolts.
2)  Remove the oil.
If you choose the latter, you'll still have to remove the bolts to get that chunk of block off of your starter.
